In Part 1, there is only one task; which you must do.


On the page you will see an email from a friend, a teacher or another English-speaking person, with four notes around it.


Your task is to write an email replying to this person, using the notes.


You should write about 100 words.


 

FOCUS ON THE INSTRUCTIONS


Look at the exam task


Write your answer in about 100 words.

Question 1: Read this email from your English-speaking friend Max and the notes you have made.



Write your email to Max using all the notes.


  • What are you going to write?

  • Who are you going to write to?

  • How many things do you need to write about?

  • How many words do you need to write?


 

FOCUS ON THE QUESTIONS


Read question 1 and follow these steps to help plan your answer


  • Why are you writing this email?

  • What will you say first in the email?

  • How did you know that Max loves tennis?

  • What reason could you give?

  • What do you need to write about next?

  • What do you need to describe for the third point?

  • Why might there not be a good place to eat near the tennis club?


Write a sentence for each of the above points.
